Come and enjoy fine food and beverages from Tasmanian Cradle Coast region

Come and enjoy some of
North West Tasmania's
finest food and beverages.

“This is an event organised by PRODUCERS to showcase their produce
and the best of TASMANIA'S north west.”

Saturday 14 April 2012, 11am-4pm

Taste of the North West is a showcase of Tasmania’s North West region’s finest food and beverages, held in Sheffield’s picturesque King George V Park with majestic Mount Roland as a backdrop. First staged in April 2009, the event coincides with the final Saturday of Sheffield’s annual Mural Fest, ensuring two great reasons to visit Tassie’s "Town of Murals”.

Past events drew estimated crowds of more than 4,000 people who enjoyed a range of regional produce including rabbit pies, German-style smallgoods, smoked salmon, wood-fired pizzas, free range lamb sausages, and ale and beef pies, all washed down with wine from eight north-west vineyards and locally produced beer, mead, cider and fruit wine.

This year the committee is offering a new concept – The Larder – for small businesses producing food items such as preserves, olive oil, jams and chutneys. The Larder will provide small businesses with exposure to motivated consumers at a very low cost and will be supported by publicity around the event.

• Taste of the North West encourages north west Tasmanian stallholders providing value added local produce with clear links to north-west Tasmanian producers.
• Food and beverages on offer should feature predominantly north west Tasmanian produce.
• Preferred suppliers will be businesses based in north west Tasmania.

Patron entry is free for the Taste of the North West, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere in the park, with the event catering for locals and gourmet tourists from further afield.
